The First
Ladies from a White Hands perspective
Behind every great man,
there is a great woman, an old saying that summarizes the journey of
great men in history, and this is an indication of the vital role of
women as important partners in creating greatness all along history,
ancient or modern
No one can argue the
honor and the greatness of achievements by men, however the stands of
women beside such great men are no less important, and whether these
women were the wives, mothers, daughters or sisters of such great men.
And among these great
men in our modern times, the president and kings that lead their Arabic
societies to advancement and besides each of one of them stands a proud
wife and a life long partner, reflecting her man's work to achieve
quality transformation in our societies.
To carry the title or
the crown as the First Lady, requires an exerted efforts and generosity,
and this is what we can see clearly through the series of achievements
and effective initiatives echoing its influence into our societies,
especially initiatives related to the development of women roles as
active partners to build society, and the work towards insuring
education and health as rights for women and children, in addition to
fighting poverty, and to make women participate in the cultural,
intellectual and political arenas.
This is how we find the
First Ladies in our Arabic countries, and just exactly how we used to
think of them previously, and we thought we ought to reflect their roles
and from what they exert from efforts toward the development and
advancement of society.
Therefore, we decided
under our slogan "The White hands Campaign For A Media Geared Towards
Women", to present as one of its branches to reflect the roles,
efforts and initiatives of the First Ladies, and high status women, by
putting links to each First Lady or dignitary woman, and for whoever
interested to know about their activities, and we have took a greater
step in publishing a book for each First Lady, in addition to a TV
program "The Meeting With The First Lady," which will be broadcasted in
more than 100 TV channel in the same time, and through the mutual
efforts of joint broadcasting led by the APUTV cooperation with these
channel.
